John Crompton – Book Jacket

My Mom brought me back a copy of The Hunting Wasp by John Crompton from her parents’ home in England. I’ve only read the first chapter so far–which is surprisingly good for a book about bugs–but the author’s biography on the dust jacket is delightful. I posted a picture of it here

Goose Bay UAV

I’m in Goose Bay. Conditions are cold and rainy, except when it is snowing.
I’m here because Goose Bay is hosting the fly-off portion of the annual UVS Canada Competition. It’s a nationwide competition where university teams build and fly UAVs. The teams are required to perform the search part of a search and rescue mission.
